About
Artinformal, founded in 2004 by artist Tina Fernandez and a collective of contemporary Filipino artists, serves as a dynamic platform for promoting and educating the public about contemporary art in the Philippines. The gallery’s mission is to bridge the gap between art and the community, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of various art forms. In 2006, Artinformal expanded its reach by establishing a dedicated gallery space that showcases a diverse range of artistic expressions. These include sculpture, painting, pottery, installation, multimedia, and performance art. This initiative underscores the gallery’s commitment to creative exchange and the exploration of new artistic frontiers. Over the years, Artinformal has been instrumental in nurturing both emerging and established Filipino artists, providing them with a platform to present innovative and thought-provoking works. The gallery’s exhibitions are carefully curated to challenge conventional perceptions and encourage dialogue within the art community and beyond. In 2018, Artinformal opened a branch in Makati City, located at The Alley at Karrivin Plaza, 2316 Chino Roces Avenue Extension. This expansion allowed the gallery to reach a broader audience and further solidify its presence in the Philippine art scene. Artinformal’s dedication to art education is evident in its various programs and workshops designed to engage the public and cultivate a deeper appreciation for contemporary art. By fostering an environment of learning and interaction, the gallery continues to play a pivotal role in the development and promotion of Philippine contemporary art.
