Catalina Africa (b. 1988, Manila) is a multi-disciplinary Filipino artist who currently lives and works in Baler, Philippines. She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a BFA in Painting in 2012. Her artistic practice spans various media, including painting, video, installation, photography, and music. Her work is deeply rooted in her strong sense of interconnection with the earth and the natural environment. She is a recipient of the prestigious Cultural Center of the Philippines' 13 Artists Awards in 2024, recognizing her innovative approach to contemporary art. Her practice often explores themes of spirituality, ecology, and the relationship between human consciousness and natural phenomena.
